Her father Ferenc Csipes represented Hungary in canoe sprint at three editions of the Olympic Games and won four Olympic medals. He won gold and bronze at the 1988 Games in Seoul, silver at the 1992 Games in Barcelona, and silver again at the 1996 Games in Atlanta.
