FROM FRANCE TO PORTUGAL
He was born in Angouleme, France, to a French father and a Portuguese mother, resulting in him having citizenship of both countries. He first represented France in international junior competitions before opting to compete for Portugal in 2014. He made the decision due to the French federation being unable to send him to many international competitions because of budget reasons. However, the French federation did not accept his request, resulting in him being unable to compete internationally for two years. He was eventually able to represent Portugal in 2016.
