Her sister Omira Estacia has represented Brazil in canoe slalom, including at the 2019 World Championships in La Seu d'Urgell, Spain. Her partner Mathieu Desnos has competed for France and Brazil in canoe slalom, and won gold in the men's K1 event at the 2019 Pan American Championships in Tres Coroas, Brazil. She was later spotted by the municipal canoe coach of Primavera do Leste, Brazil, who invited her to try the sport. "I was invited by him because my body type suited paddling.
