FROM CUBA TO AZERBAIJAN
He moved from Cuba to Azerbaijan to improve his chances of competing at international events. "I was number three in Cuba, but even then only because the athlete who was considered number two participated more in competitions. However, I have never lost to him in bouts. I grew up in a poor family. I need to support it. The salary here, in Azerbaijan, is normal, it's enough for me. I send money to my mother and daughter in Cuba.
