RETURN FOR TOKYO
In 2018 she decided to retire and began working as a coach at Lokomotiv Plovdiv boxing club in Bulgaria. In 2019 she decided to resume training following encouragement from the club's chairman, Bobi Georgiev, and president of the Bulgarian Boxing Federation, Krasimir Ininski. "My first boxing competition was in April 2000. A lot of deprivation has accumulated over the years, so I decided to give up, and I started working as a coach at Lokomotiv. Bobi Georgiev and Krasimir Ininski started to encourage me to return training with national coach Fikret Erdjebov. My husband also supported me. The effort was collective. Every athlete wants to end their career with an Olympic medal." (bgboxing.org, 28 Feb 2021; boec.bg, 17 Mar 2020; gong.bg, 24 Sep 2019)
