She became interested in boxing after watching the sport on the television. "When I saw this boxing match I immediately fell in love. But I told myself that unfortunately there is not this game in Burundi otherwise I will have played it. I already liked sports. Every Saturday I jogged. And one day I had the chance to meet boxing coaches. I immediately asked them to join their club. They welcomed me with open arms. That's how I started boxing."
