PROFESSIONAL BOXING
In 2019 he won his first bout as a professional boxer against US boxer Kendall Mayes-Taylor in Hollywood, CA, United States of America. He also spent time training with coach Freddie Roach. Later in the same year he returned to Armenia to train with the national team in a bid to reach the 2020 Olympic Games. "My goal has long been to become a professional. From the very beginning, when it came to my plans to fight in the professional ring, I said that I would like to have my first fight in the United States. Since professional boxers are now allowed to compete in the Olympics, I decided not to miss the opportunity to have my first fight in the United States. This means that I do not have to leave amateur boxing and the national team. My goal is to participate in the Olympics."
