"I naturally learned this sport as a small child. I spent my junior days at the club Volley Koniz [in Bern, Switzerland] and played beach volleyball in summer." (gps-performance.com, 2017)

Her father Jean-Charles played and coached beach volleyball, and she went along as a child to help collect the balls. Her mother was also a volleyball player so it was natural to follow in their footsteps. She initially played indoor volleyball before focusing on beach volleyball. General
PARTNER
After the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro her partner Isabelle Forrer retired. In 2017 she teamed up with Joana Heidrich whose partner Nadine Zumkehr also retired in 2016. After teaming up with Heidrich, Verge-Depre had to switch position from blocker to defender, as Heidrich is taller. "Even with an injury Joana works very hard towards her goals. She commits herself fully and that makes a difference." (Beach Major Series YouTube channel, 13 Jul 2019; volleyball.world, 07 Sep 2019; heidrich-vergedepre.com, 2019)

SISTER
When her regular playing partner Joana Heidrich was injured in 2018, she competed for the first time with her younger sister Zoe at the 2018 European Championships in the Netherlands. They finished ninth. "We had a lot of fun and talked very openly about everything." (volleyball.ch, 01 Sep 2018)
