General Interest

General
TIME ABROAD
In 2016 he moved to United States of America to study at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, OH, United States of America. He also spent time at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta before returning to Japan in 2018 to play in the B.League. "I decided to go to a prep school to play the sport more seriously after I was called up to the U18 Japanese national team and competed in a tournament in Germany. Brewster Academy has a strong basketball team, so I didn't have the chance to play many games, but a lot of college coaches came to watch our training sessions. I received an offer from the Georgia Institute of Technology. There was no scholarship but in terms of studying, it has top-class physics course. It was a quick decision but I didn't get much playing time and it was important for me to have an environment where I could play. And the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo was one of the biggest reasons for me returning to Japan. I think it is a dream for any athlete to be part of an Olympics that is held in their country." He spent the 2019/20 season playing on loan for the Shiga Lakestars in the Japanese B.League. He went on loan to the Seahorses Mikawa ahead of the 2020/21 season. (basket-count.com, 21 Aug 2020; akestars.net, 29 Jul 2020)

HERITAGE
He was born to a US father and a Japanese mother in Osaka, Japan. (news.yahoo.co.jp, 21 Sep 2019; basketball.realgm.com, 2019)
