She is dyslexic, and has worked with the educational non-profit Eye to Eye. "I'm not sure if I'd be here without my disability. That was a driving force for all those hard, long hours in the gym. It motivated me to prove I could be successful. It doesn't change how I think. It doesn't change who I am. I just needed more time. My passion is always to give back, to impact the next generation, and figuring out how to do that in my own way." GYM OWNERSHIP
She and her brother Jarryd own a gym in Chicago, IL, United States of America. "I grew up playing in this gym, it's called the Warehouse and it's a special place for me because that's where I started to believe that I could be more than just a high school basketball player or a college basketball player. It's really based on community building, a community of safe spaces and empowering kids to believe in themselves and achieve their goals. People need people, and that's what it's all about."
