PLAYING ALONGSIDE HER IDOL
Growing up she dreamed of playing alongside Yukiko Ueno, who was part of the Japanese team that won gold at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. "In 2008, I was in sixth grade at primary school, and I was glued to the TV watching her. At the time, we didn't know that softball was excluded from the programme for the 2012 Games in London, so my mum told me that it would not be just a dream to play with Ueno at the Olympic Games one day.
