FULL-TIME FOCUS
She admits to struggling to maintain a balance between her sports career and her studies prior to graduating from the Institute of Business Administration in Karachi, Pakistan, in 2018. "It was a common sight to see me engrossed in my studies during tours. But I didn't want to fall behind in either my game or my education. Yes, it was very difficult. Often, I had to study/prepare assignments during the tournaments. Sometimes, I was working on my laptop sitting in the airport lounge. Some faculty members helped. I was given extended dates to submit the assignments and was examined when I returned from events. I am glad to report that I graduated from my university. I am now able to turn my complete focus on badminton." (thenews.com.pk, 11 Oct 2020; images.dawn.com, 15 Aug 2019)
