SEPARATE STUDIES
In 2020 she enrolled at the Vasil Levski National Sports Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria, and she admits her studies are one of the only things she has done separately from her sister Gabriela. "We're living together, in the hall together, everywhere we're together. Only for studies we chose different ways. This will be the first time we'll be doing things separately. I applied to study at the National Sports Academy. Because I've been focused on badminton for a long time, now it will be like a new thing which I never expected to happen. There are some negative things [about being together all the time], because we're fighting most of the time, we're fighting over some stupid things, but this is normal in our sister relationship. Now we're excited to start university, to do it separately." (bwfworldtour.bwfbadminton.com, 20 Aug 2020)

MOVE TO FRANCE
She and her sister Gabriela relocated to France in 2015 to join IMBC92 in Issy-les-Moulineaux. The pair were encouraged to make the move to France by Bulgarian coach Mihail Popov, who first met the sisters one year earlier during a scouting trip to Sofia, Bulgaria, to recruit players for the IMBC92 club in France. "We came to France to play club team matches. Our coach saw some talent in us. He pushed us to put in a lot of effort and it worked. This was the best choice we made." (rfi.fr, 23 Oct 2019)
