EMOTION ON COURT
On occasions he has been warned by referees about long celebrations after winning points. He says that he does not mean to distract his opponents through his reactions. "It's not intentional. FAMILY TRAGEDY
In February 2021 his older brother Ivan passed away after contracting COVID-19. He returned from competing at the 2021 Thailand Open when he learned that Ivan and both of his parents were suffering from the effects of the virus and were all in hospital. He took a three-week break from training and competing. "It was a tough moment. I will never forget when the doctor told me my brother's condition was deteriorating and that he had organ failure. I could only plead to the doctor to do his best. Moreover, I had to keep that a secret from my parents who were also battling COVID-19. I dared to tell them six days after my brother passed away, right after they came home from the hospital and when their condition was better." OTHER ACTIVITIES
He played the role of a young badminton player in the 2009 Indonesian film 'King' and, in January 2019, he co-founded Satoe-Noesa, a clothing and fashion company based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
