RETIREMENT PLANS
He plans to retire from the sport after competing at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. "I don't know how much longer I can play. I hope I am healthy enough to participate at the 2020 Olympic Games, which is going to be my fourth consecutive Games. And then I'll give the playground back to the younger athletes." BUSINESS
In 2016 he established Tien Minh Sport, a badminton equipment company based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. "My parents are mainly involved in business, so it is more or less in my blood that I have passion for this field. However, due to my passion for badminton, I pursued a sporting career. In 2012 he became the first Vietnamese badminton player to compete at multiple editions of the Olympic Games, following his previous participation at the 2008 Games in Beijing.
