GOING PRO
In 2015 she began studying human physiology and psychology at the University of Oregon in the United States of America. In 2019 she decided to forgo her last year of college eligibility to turn professional after she came second at the 2019 National Collegiate Athletic Association [NCAA] Outdoor National Championships in Austin, Texas. "[It] definitely showed I was ready to mix it up with that level of competition. It was a bit of a confidence booster to see that I could do it. The way training was going, we knew those kinds of marks were there, I just hadn't really been in a race to see that I could do it. You don't want the opportunity to slip free. You want to make the most of all that there is out there." (oregonlive.com, 24 Jun 2019; bringbackthemile.com, 23 Jun 2019)
