General Interest

General
LONE COMPETITOR
He was the only athlete to represent Nauru at the 2018 Micronesian Games in Yap, Federated States of Micronesia, after the rest of the team had to pull out due to financial reasons. Harris had been at a competition in Finland, but he travelled to the Games as his flight had been already booked, and he went on to win five medals. "The Micro [Micronesian] Games are our Olympics. I definitely felt extra pressure because, I'm the only one. I got that pressure and put it out on the field and it helped me perform. Hopefully, I did what everyone expected of me." (postguam.com, 23 Jul 2018; pacificislandtimes.com, 20 Jul 2018)

LIVING ABROAD
Born in Nauru, he has lived in Fiji and in Brisbane, QLD, Australia, where he spent his high school years. (pacificislandtimes.com, 20 Jul 2018)

PERSONAL PLANS
He hopes to become a civil engineer in the future. "I want to go back home to Nauru and give something back since it has been so good to me." (pacificislandtimes.com, 20 Jul 2018)
