Her father Peter has been a player and coach at various Australian rules football clubs, and her cousin Dale played Australian rules for Richmond Tigers from 1978 to 1993. Her husband Lachlan is also an elite athlete and paced her during the 2016 Houston Marathon in the United States of America.
