General Interest

General
INJURY WOES
She says that suffering a series of injuries led to her having doubts about her sporting career. "I have had my fair share of injuries and broken feet and femurs and shins. I have had all that. Most athletes go through it but I have been through it a lot. I thought things would click a lot sooner than they did. But I rode the wave. I think there have definitely been more lows than highs. There were definitely moments when I thought, 'Is this ever going to happen to me, am I chipping away at something that is beyond my reach?'" (theaustralian.com.au, 19 Feb 2021)

COVID-19 IMPACT
She believes the postponement of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo has improved her chances at the Games. "If the Olympics were held last year [in 2020], I would have just been a lane filler. In the team. Got the uniform. Great, but I wouldn't have made a semi. Now, if I can stay on the path I'm in good contention for the final." (7news.com.au, 28 Mar 2021)

COACHING
She has coached athletics at Knox Grammar School and Emmanuel College in Australia. (LinkedIn profile, 01 Jan 2019)

FURTHER EDUCATION
In addition to a bachelor's degree in applied science at the University of Sydney, she has studied for a bachelor's degree in marketing at Griffith University in Australia. (LinkedIn profile, 01 Jan 2019; 7news.com.au, 28 Mar 2021)
