COVID-19 IMPACT
After the COVID-19 pandemic prevented her from going on an altitude training camp, she turned her bedroom into an altitude chamber using a special generator. "Normally we go on an altitude training camp every year, but that was not possible because of the coronavirus. So I bought an altitude generator. It removes oxygen-rich air from the environment and introduces oxygen-poor air. This reduces the oxygen percentage in the room. A certain percentage equals a certain height. We covered all the cracks in the room with tape and it was like we were sleeping at an altitude of between 2000 and 2500 metres. If you switch off the altitude generator after four weeks and you sleep at 'sea level' again, you will notice the difference." (teamnl.org, 22 Feb 2021)

OCCUPATION
She is a freelance physical education teacher. She also works as a personal trainer, gives presentations, and leads sports days and running clinics. (Twitter profile, 17 Apr 2021; LinkedIn profile, 25 May 2021)
