General Interest

General
COVID-19 IMPACT
In 2020 he was unable to return to the Bahamas during the COVID-19 outbreak and spent the time focusing on his studies at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, United States of America. He was in his senior and final year of NCAA eligibility in 2019/20 but will benefit from the NCAA allowing senior athletes to compete for an extra year due to the virus. "It was good that the Bahamas closed the borders. I decided to stay here in Indiana. This has allowed us to put athletics to the side for the time being and just focus on our academics. I think this has also allowed us to focus on our mental capacities because we have been dealing so much with athletics from last [year, 2019] to now [2020]. It was a lot. So we can take a break and work on a lot of stuff that we need to before we get ready for next year. I think it was a good decision by the NCAA to allow those athletes who didn't get to complete their senior year to come back and show what they are capable of doing. It was a good idea and I think I'm going to take advantage of the opportunity." (tribune242.com, 17 Apr 2020)
