She achieved the qualifying time for the 2020 Olympic Games in the 20km walk at the 2021 Luis Chocho Walking Championship in Macas, Ecuador. The competition was named after her long-time coach Luis Chocho, who passed away in February 2021. "It is my third Olympic qualification, but this has been the hardest yet because of all that humanity is experiencing due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent death of my first coach of more than 20 years, Luis Chocho.
