She heads an athletics project called 'Vem correr com Sara Catarina Ribeiro' [Come and run with Sara Catarina Ribeiro] in Lousada, Portugal. The scheme aims to help people get involved in sport, and she also gives training courses as she is a certified coach. "This has been an excellent experience, completely different to high performance competition. I do many training sessions at the running track of the complex [in Lousada] and I also bring some friends to train because the complex has excellent facilities to practise athletics."
