EXPELLED FROM OLYMPIC TEAM
She was expelled from the Greece team for the 2012 Olympic Games in London in the week before the event after posting an offensive tweet on social media regarding African immigrants in Greece. Her social media profile also featured posts criticising the prime minister's stance on immigration. Isidoros Kouvelos, head of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, said she was removed from the team because she had "showed no respect for the basic Olympian value".
