She first tried race walking at age 10. (arcadiasports.gr, 22 Jul 2016)
:
"I started playing sports at the age about four and engaged in various disciplines, such as swimming, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics. I took up track at age 10. At first I tried all the disciplines, but I was impressed by race walking, it seemed very different from all the sports I had done. When I tried it, it won me over straightaway and I decided that I only wanted to do walking." (healthyme.gr, 2018)
:
To compete at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. (healthyme.gr, 2018)
:
Winning bronze in the 5000m race walk at the 2007 World Youth Championships in Ostrava, Czech Republic, and competing at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. (healthyme.gr, 2018)
:
"A few days before a race, I make sure to do things that relax me, such as walking with friends, to be calm in the race and have a positive attitude." (healthyme.gr, 2018)
:
"Sport has taught me to have discipline, patience and perseverance. To work hard, stubbornly, and not be disappointed by a failure, because in sports there are more failures than successes, and you have to overcome the frustration of failure quickly to be successful in the next race." (healthyme.gr, 2018)

"Good mentality is very important for achieving good performance. I am an athlete and my attitude affects me in every race, and many times in training. To maintain a good attitude in races, I work hard in training. I only think positively, that is, that everything will go well and that my performance will be good. Often, I look back on past successes, but also on difficult trainings in which I had coped properly, in order to gain strength." (healthyme.gr, 2018)
