In October 2019 she was involved in a quad bike accident in Doha, Qatar, after she competed at the world championships. She needed several stitches to her chin. (expressen.se, 05 Oct 2019; Instagram profile, 08 Oct 2019)

In the European autumn of 2015 she became ill with a virus, and had to be hospitalised for several nights. It took her a few weeks to recover and return to training. (expressen.se, 27 Nov 2015)

Her mother encouraged her to try the pole vault. "We were at a competition all weekend, it was a Sunday night and mum was tired and wanted to go home.
