His older brother Antoine has competed in baseball, and in 2019 was drafted by the New York Mets of the MLB in the United States of America. His other brother Andreas has competed in pole vault at youth international level, and represented Sweden at the 2012 Junior World Championships in Barcelona, Spain. His father Greg also competed in pole vault at international level representing the United States of America, including in the United States Olympic trials for the 1996 Games in Atlanta. His mother Helena [nee Hedlund] competed in heptathlon and volleyball at university level in the United States of America. His parents Greg and Helena won the 2020 World Athletics Coaching Achievement Award.
