She broke the Barbadian national record for the 200m while competing at an inter-school athletics championship in Barbados in March 2016. Representing Harris College, she won the U20 girls' 200m event in 22.61s, almost two-thirds of a second inside the Olympic qualification standard, to break Jade Bailey's [open age] national record of 22.91s that had stood since 2008.
