Her husband Andres Camargo represented Colombia in the 3000m steeplechase at the 2015 South American Championships in Lima, Peru. Her brother Yesid Orjuela met the Olympic qualifying time for the marathon ahead of the 2016 Olympic Games but did not compete in Rio de Janeiro, while her sister Ana Milena Orjuela has competed in distance running events in Colombia.
