At the end of the 2017 season she broke her leg [tibia] in eight places. (atletika.cz, 28 Jul 2020)

She took part in athletics at school while also training as a gymnast, and began focusing on pole vault at age 16 in Brno, Czech Republic. (olympic.cz, 21 Jun 2016)

"I went to a sports grammar school, where I had a study plan for gymnastics training. But I also sometimes had to represent the school in athletics. At age 14, I was noticed by Ctibor Nezdaril [Czech athletics coach], who told me I could be a good pole vaulter, and if I ever wanted to finish gymnastics I should come and try it. At first, I wanted to do athletics just for fun, because after my experience with gymnastics didn't work out I didn't want to have anything to do with top sport. If it weren't for my parents pushing me, I probably wouldn't have done athletics." (atletika.cz, 28 Jul 2020)
:
After her athletics career, she would like to coach children gymnastics. (atletika.cz, 28 Jul 2020)

NEW COACH
In 2017 she began training under Kacper Chlond after leaving former coach Darius Los. She also has assistance from Czech coach Zdenek Lubensky. "Coach Los was a little tired after the Rio Olympics, he is not the youngest any more and didn't want to travel that much, which was understandable, but it started to bother me a little as I was often alone at competitions and lacked feedback. Kacper had previously helped me with physical training, and after the 2017 European Indoor Championships in Belgrade, he took me completely under his wing. Sometimes coach Los comes to see me and I also go over my technique with Zdenek Lubensky. If I'm not sure about something, I'll send him a video and discuss it. Zdenek also helps me when I train or compete in the Czech Republic." (Instagram profile, 06 Dec 2020; atletika.cz, 28 Jul 2020)

MOVE TO POLAND
She moved to Poland from the Czech Republic before the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. "I felt I needed change and new people around me. At that time I was in relatively close contact with the Polish pole vaulter Robert Sobera and I tried it basically at his suggestion. I knew that if I had to meet the Olympics standard, I had to make a change. Robert told me to come to Wroclaw to see how they train. So I tried it, and finally agreed to work with his coach Darius Los." (atletika.cz, 28 Jul 2020)
