She has competed in a number of sports and disciplines. She represented the Czech Republic in both artistic swimming and triathlon at junior international level, and later tried competitive mountain biking. She then turned her focus to long-distance running, and went on to win marathon medals at national level in the Czech Republic. After experiencing ankle pain when running, in early 2020 she began training in race walking. "In 2020, after less than six months of preparation, I defeated the seven-time medallist Anezka Drahotova at the Czech championships in Podebrady and thus won my first national gold. Half a year later, with the first race of the 2021 season, I met the qualifying standard for the 2020 Olympic Games. I was able to reach a decent level in each sport I tried, but it was never enough to reach the very top of international competition. I was looking for a sport in which I could do that. I used to always draw Olympic rings at school. Competing and fighting for medals has always fascinated me. I have tried to get to the Olympics in every sport I have done."
