TRAINING IN LOCKDOWN
During the initial lockdown in early 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he was based at his parents' home in the French overseas territory of Martinique. He said the postponement of the 2020 Olympic Games disrupted his plans to begin his professional career in physiotherapy. "I am lucky to be at my parents' home. They have a garden and a pool, and there is a football field nearby so I can go running. Compared to an athlete stuck in Paris, I am very lucky. However, my original plan after competing at the Olympic Games in 2020 was to dedicate one year to starting my career in physiotherapy, before returning to training for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris in 2021. But now that the Games have been rescheduled for 2021, I don't know when I will get a chance to begin working in my new profession." (la1er.francetvinfo.fr, 24 Apr 2020)
