US COLLEGE STINT
Originally from the French overseas region of Guadeloupe, she represented the University of Florida in the United States of America from 2016 to 2019, and in her senior year won the Honda Sport Award for track and field as the top female collegiate athletics competitor in the United States of America. She ended her competitive career with the university as the first woman to make the collegiate all-time top 10 list in both horizontal jumping events [triple, long jump], and the second female collegiate athlete in history to sweep the horizontal jumps titles in one year at the Southeastern Conference [SEC] indoor and outdoor championships. "Nearly four years ago I was given a choice [to come to Florida], I took a chance, and today this recognition shows my leap of faith paid off. I'm proud of what I accomplished as an athlete for the Gators and student at the University of Florida. And I'm happy to represent the program and everyone back in Guadeloupe in such a great way."
