ROAD SWITCH
He plans to switch his focus from track athletics to road running after competing at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. He made the decision after it was announced that the 5000m and 10,000m events would be removed from the Diamond League from 2020. "My long term goal as a track athlete was to break both the 5000 and 10,000m world records, but due to the new changes made by IAAF regarding these events, I am not even sure if I am going to stay as a track athlete for any longer. When I look ahead, I get excited about all the things I want to achieve. My plan is to run on the track until the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, then move to the road."
