RETIREMENT THOUGHTS
She considered retiring from athletics following a number of injuries in 2019 and 2020, but decided to remain in the sport after the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo were postponed. "This year [from 2019 to 2020] has been horrific, I think it's been one of the worst years of my life. I was about to quit athletics because psychologically I could not take it anymore. Although they were minor injuries, I was recovering from one, recovering psychologically, and then going back to square one. It has been very hard. So when I saw that the postponement was official, I thought I could breathe, start again from scratch and have another chance to qualify." (ideal.es, 06 Jun 2020)
