SPORT PSYCHOLOGY
In 2012 she first met with sport psychologist Tanja Damaske, a former European champion in javelin, and has been working with her ever since. "She [Damaske] travels a lot with the German Athletics Association. Whenever we see each other, we talk intensely. And when I feel like I need her, I can always call her. She has become a good friend. Her advantage is that she knows the psychological side of competitive sports as she was a javelin thrower. She always has good tips ready, such as how to act when you're excited. At the end of the day, I need to train those things, as much as throwing the javelin." (laz.de, Dec 23, 2017)
