She developed a passion for triple jump through her school coach, Frank Reinhardt. "Since I moved to the sports boarding school in Hanover in 2008, I have been doing competitive athletics. It quickly turned out that I had a special talent for jumping, and I ended up focusing on the triple jump. It is technically more demanding than the long jump. If you want to be good, you have to be well trained, I like that. I also like the feeling of flying." (sponsoo.de, 24 Mar 2020; goettinger-tageblatt.de, 20 Jun 2014; kreiszeitung.de, 18 May 2011)
