HERITAGE
She was born in Denmark to a Danish mother and a Danish-Norwegian father, and the family moved to Norway when she was age two. At age 12, the family moved again and she then spent time living in Namibia, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates and finally Thailand, where she attended high school until 2013. In 2015 she received Norwegian citizenship having previously been a Danish national. "I definitely felt a stronger connection to Norway. I felt like it would almost be wrong to put on a Danish uniform if I felt that strength of connection to Norway. So it was really important to me. I had to stay true to myself and stay true to Norway. I wanted to participate at the world championships and Olympic Games for the country which I can describe as my home."
