He has studied at several US educational institutions, including Western Texas College, the University of Texas at El Paso, and the University of Miami. "I was spotted by top coaches when I participated in the 2016 Olympics in Rio [de Janeiro], Brazil and this brought many scholarship offers which I had to consider and I finally moved to the University of Texas in 2018." In 2019 he deferred his civil engineering studies at the University of Texas at El Paso and switched to a media management degree at the University of Miami.
