He said the break in competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic gave him time to work with his coach on technical changes to his jumping style. "With my coach Ennio Butto I decided to focus on the details, considering that there were no major short-term events. It was the right time to take care of my arm action, on which we have always worked, but now there was more time available, while already this winter [2019/20] I had a different approach to the first phase of the jump, the hop.
