DENTIST DREAMS
His father works as a dentist and Taio says he considered studying dentistry after graduating high school, but decided to focus on his sporting career. After competing at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, he plans to study dentistry with the aim of taking over his father's dental clinic. "I wanted to become a dentist because of my father. But, it is a once in a lifetime opportunity to compete at the 2020 Olympics, so I don't want to miss it. It will be my first and last challenge. It will be the culmination of my sporting career, so the most important thing is to finish it without regrets."
