POST-TOKYO INTENTIONS
She has not made a firm decision on whether she will continue to compete after the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. "I cannot make empty promises. I cannot say I'm going to get a medal [in Tokyo], because there are so many athletes from all over the world who are also preparing for the same thing, so all I can say is I'm just going to do my best. What I have achieved has not changed my character, I'm still the same. My main aim is to continue getting good results so that I can leave a legacy when I retire. I love running, and I can't even miss a training session, because it is the thing that I like the most in my whole life. I think I can do this forever. Even if it's not to compete anymore, I can do it to maintain a healthy lifestyle." (namibian.com.na, 13 May 2019)
