She was participating in running training in Mexico City, Mexico, when she met Ignacio Zamudio, a race walking coach and former Olympian, who invited her to try the sport. "Once I practised it, I loved it. It is a sport that suits me very well. It's a technical, endurance and individual sport, where it's you against everybody else.
