BREAK AND RETURN
She took a break from the sport from 2010 to 2015, during which time she started a family. She returned to full training in 2016. "I had two daughters, a job and was studying, so it was complicated to find time to focus 100% on sport. [In 2015] I said I would give it another go, and if my times didn't improve within a year then I would do something else. But I did well, and continued to do so. Since I qualified for the 2020 Olympic Games, I've realised that any dream can be accomplished, and this is what motivates me." (eltiempomonclova.mx, 06 Jun 2020)
