He says that moving from Sassari, Italy, to Rome, Italy, at age 18 was an important moment in his sporting career. "My most important decision was to come to Rome at the age of 18. Leaving my city, my family and all my friends to go to an unknown city with people I didn't know was very difficult, not only for me, but also for my loved ones that I still can't see very often.
