SENIOR PROMOTION
She travelled to the 2015 National Championships in Kerala, India to compete in the junior races but when her state Uttar Pradesh had no athletes competing in the senior 20km race she was drafted into the team. She finished third and the time she set qualified her for the 2016 World Team Championships in Rome, Italy. "I came to know quite late that it was a 20km race. If I knew I probably would not have entered it. In the juniors we would mainly race walk over three or five kilometres. It wasn't till I participated in the nationals that I knew this is supposed to last 20km. It's not until I completed my first 20km race that I even believed I could do it."
