KENYA EXPERIENCE
In 2019 he attended a month-long training camp in Iten, Kenya. "I considered myself a very committed runner, but now I'm impressed by the way they train here. Since I came here I've been training so hard. I had blisters every day. I came here to learn about the culture, and they are very committed people who make plenty of sacrifices. For us they seem superior runners, but now that I see them they are not that different. The only thing is that they run all the time. When I run in the mornings I can see plenty of kids, all smiling, and shouting, 'Go, go!'. Some of them even run alongside me for a kilometre. It's impressive to see these kids running with ease, even without proper running shoes. This experience will stay with me for the rest of my life."
