He has worked as head of the finance department of the chancellery at the Seimas [parliament] of Lithuania. In 2020 he temporarily served as Chancellor of the Seimas for more than half a year. "I accepted the offer only because the [2020 Olympic] Games were postponed, I did not expect any serious sporting competitions so I was able to accept this challenge in the professional field.
