She began artistic swimming at age 12. (olympics.com.au, Feb 2020)

She was originally involved in gymnastics and swimming [pool] before moving to artistic swimming on the advice of her school swim teacher when she lived in London, England. "I was originally doing swimming [pool] and got really bored and saw in another pool girls doing artistic swimming and thought it was the coolest thing ever. After I tried it I realised there was no club near me, but when I saw a flyer saying a new club would open it changed my life. I took elements of gymnastics and swimming that I loved to become an artistic swimmer." General Interest

General
RETIREMENT AND RETURN
She decided to retire from artistic swimming after the 2017 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, to focus on her education. "I tried to retire to focus on university but I missed it too much and returned soon after. I wasn't on the team for 2018 but I worked extra hard to be re-selected." She returned to the national team in 2019. (asf.org.au, 2019: Inside Synchro YouTube Channel, 15 Apr 2020)

EARLY LIFE
She grew up in London, England, before moving to Sydney, NSW, Australia, as a child with her family. "When I came to Australia first I saw that not many girls were doing artistic swimming but I found a competitive club. When I was in high school I used to do extra training in the mornings at 05:00 or 06:00 and during my lunch break in school. I was indirectly told I was too small and not cut out for the sport, but I worked extra hard as I enjoyed training and achieved my dream. When I was 17 I moved to Perth from Sydney straight out of high school to make the national team." (Inside Synchro YouTube Channel, 15 Apr 2020)

OTHER ACTIVITIES
She works as an artistic swimming coach for children aged between 10 and 12 and as a recreational programme coordinator at SupaNova Synchronised Swimming Club in Perth, WA, Australia.
