She became interested in the sport after watching the 2010 Commonwealth Games and wanted a social sport to be involved in. "I love the sport because it's a lot of fun with your friends and it's very different to other sports that I have seen. All the girls are really supportive and make training really enjoyable and it never gets boring. I first saw a video of it online and wanted to try it. My sister said, 'No sister of mine is doing a sport that you have to wear nose clips.' I took it up anyway."
